Festa Annual Report 2023

The year 2023 saw major changes in sustainability reporting requirements, a surge in innovation, and even more companies and individuals taking bold steps towards sustainability. The year 2023 was also the hottest year on record, at least in the last 100,000 years. The year also saw the release of a report showing that humanity has exceeded six of the Earth's nine tolerance limits.

At Festa, two important roadmaps were published, over a dozen events were held, 15 member organizations joined the group, and a major climate leadership project was launched. This is just a fraction of Festa's work in 2023.

"Much has already been achieved in the sustainability journey of Icelandic companies and society. At the same time, we all face great challenges that must be met with determination. That is the key to also successfully harnessing the opportunities inherent in the journey. Festa now places its main emphasis, as before, on supporting its member associations on that journey."
