Do you want to participate in making Icelandic business more sustainable?

Festa – Center for Sustainability is looking for a solution-oriented and reform-minded individual with excellent communication skills to join its team. We are looking for someone with a passion for the three pillars of sustainability in the Icelandic business environment to carry out a variety of tasks, including analysis, project management, communication and innovative collaboration with Festa's member companies.


Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Climate CEOs - project management.
  • Formulation of procedures and work plans.
  • Participation in the creation of communication and educational materials.
  • Stuðningur við stjórn og framkvæmdahóp verkefnisins.
  • Supervision of the Festa Climate Monitor.
  • Greiningar og kortlagning á innleiðingu sjálfbærnilöggjafar.
  • Project management of diverse projects in the fields of environmental issues, governance and social sustainability.
  • Önnur verkefni, s.s. miðlun, undirbúningur viðburða og samskipti við aðildarfélög.


Educational and qualification requirements

  • University degree and experience that is useful in the workplace.
  • Knowledge and experience with sustainability projects, climate issues and the circular economy.
  • Knowledge of EU sustainability legislation and requirements for sustainability disclosure by operators.
  • Reynsla af verkefnastjórnun.
  • Æskileg reynsla af miðlun og nýtingu samfélagsmiðla.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Frumkvæði, umbótasinnuð og lausnamiðuð hugsun.
  • Knowledge of major social media is an advantage.
  • Gott vald á íslensku og ensku í ræðu og riti.
