Festa and the Government's Steering Group on Sustainable Iceland met last week where the Roadmap that Festa recently published in connection with significant changes to sustainability laws and disclosure was presented to the group.

The roadmap is the result of work by a number of experts within and outside the Sustainable Development Community and covers innovations in legislation, disclosure and methodology for responsible investment and sustainable operations, affecting financial institutions and companies of all sizes. These are historic changes that are intended to have a significant impact on the environment and society.

The role of Sustainable Iceland is, among other things, to accelerate actions to achieve the goals of sustainable development as reflected in the United Nations Global Goals and the government's well-being priorities. The steering group is composed of representatives from all ministries as well as representatives from the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities.
