Janúarráðstefna Festu 2022 fer fram 27.janúar frá kl 9:00 – 12:00, og líkt og ráðstefnan síðastliðin janúar verður hún rafræn og opin öllum. Ráðstefnan er send út frá Hörpu.
Janúarráðstefna Festu er stærsti árlegi sjálfbærni vettvangur á Íslandi og verður dagskráin í ár einstaklega glæsileg þar sem við fáum til okkar “keynote” ræðufólk sem er í hópi fremstu fræðimanna og leiðtoga á alþjóðasviðinu þegar kemur að sjálfbærni og loftslagsmálefnum.
Þá munum við bjóða upp á þrjár öflugar pallborðsumræður þar sem við fáum til okkar leiðtoga úr íslensku samfélagi til að ræða þau sjálfbærni málefni sem brenna á okkur öllum. Með einvalaliði ræðum við hvaða þýðingu sjálfbærni, kleinuhringja hagfræðin og hagvöxtur innan þolmarka jarðar hafa fyrir fjárfestingar, upplýsingagjöf um rekstur fyrirtækja, lög og reglur og orkuskipti um heim allan.

Kate Raworth
Can Iceland live in the doughnut?
Kate Raworth is the author of Doughnut Economics. Doughnut Economics is an economic model that seeks to balance the basic needs of humanity within the limits of the planet (Planetary Boundaries).
Kate Raworth starfar og kennir í Oxford University’s Environmental Change Institute þar sem hún er “Senior Associate”. Þá er hún einnig prófessor hjá Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences og einn af stofnendum Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL)
Hugmyndir Raworth um kleinuhringja hagkerfið hafa síðustu ár haft gríðarlega mikil áhrif um alla heim og má þar nefna borgir á borð við Amsterdam og Barcelona, fjölmargar hreyfingar á borð við Extincion Rebellion, allsherjarþing Sameinuðu þjóðanna og Páfann í Róm.

Raworth is co-founder of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL). DEAL is part of a growing global movement for new and forward-looking economics. DEAL’s goal is to promote the implementation of economics that responds to the needs of the 21st century. Economics that enriches the Earth’s ecosystem and distributes value among people more equitably than the dominant economy does.
Raworth is the author of the best-selling book Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st Century Economist, now available at the Student Bookstore. The book has been translated into over 20 languages and its ideas have influenced the planning of cities and communities around the world.
Kate is a Senior Associate at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, where she teaches on the Masters in Environmental Change and Management. She is also Professor of Practice at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. She is a member of the Club of Rome and sits on the Advisory Council of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Dr. Johan Rockström
Beyond building back better – The role of Nature in a Post-COVID World
Johan Rockström is Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany, one of the leading institutions in global research on climate change and sustainability. He is also Chief Scientist at Conservation International. He previously directed (1) Stockholm Resilience Centre: Overview .
Johan er alþjóðlega viðurkenndur vísindamaður og hafa hans rannsóknir beinst að þrautseigju vistkerfa jarðar.
Rockström er þekktastur fyrir að leiða hópa vísindamanna við greiningu á þolmörkum jarðar (e.Planetary Boundaries). Þolmörk jarðar útlista 9 ólík þolmörk. Þá greinir líkanið hvaða mörk við höfum nú þegar stigið yfir, hvar við nálgumst þolmörkin og hvar við erum í ágætri stöðu.
Over five million people have listened to Rockström's TED talks about the limits of the earth's endurance.

Rockström hefur verið verðlaunaður fyrir störf sín og í sumar kom út Netflix heimildarmynd um störf hans sem sjálfur David Attenborough talar inn á. Við mælum eindregið með áhorfi – Breaking Boundaries – The Science of Our Planet.
Johan is an advisor on sustainable development issues at the United Nations General Assembly, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP). He is the Chair of the EAT Foundation Advisory Board and was involved in the EAT-Lancet analysis of the global food system, whether and how it needs to be transformed.
Rockström is the author of Breaking Boundaries: The Science of Our Planet (2021), available at the Student Bookstore, and The Human Quest (2012) and Big World Small Planet (2015) in collaboration with National Geographic photographer Mattias Klum. Other notable books by Rockström can be found here.
