Verkfærakista fyrir fyrirtæki um heimsmarkmið Sameinuðu þjóðanna

Today, the Government Task Force on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) released a toolkit on how businesses can implement the goals. The toolkit is intended to guide businesses on how they can contribute to the SDGs, while earlier this year, the task force released a similar toolkit for municipalities.
"The SDGs are an important guide to achieving societal, climate and economic goals. However, we need tools and instruments to be able to follow this guide, and the toolbox makes those tools and instruments accessible to the business community in the country," says Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir.
Verkfærakistan veitir fyrirtækjum leiðbeiningar um hvernig þau geta lagt sitt af mörkum til heimsmarkmiðanna með því að aðlaga starfsemi sína, áætlanir sem og árangursmælingar að markmiðunum. Hún byggir á erlendum fyrirmyndum auk dæma frá Íslandi og þá var Festa, miðstöð um samfélagsábyrgð og sjálfbærni, ráðgjafa einnig innan handar um efnistök
og innihald.
"The publication of the toolkit comes at a crucial time. The goals will not be achieved without the involvement of the business community and effective cooperation between different parties in the market, as well as the public and private sectors. Those companies that have already implemented the global goals into their operations know firsthand how this work results in good employee morale and better operations. For those companies that are just starting out, this toolkit is a unique encouragement and an accessible guide," says Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir, CEO of Festa.

We at Festa are very proud of this collaboration with the Government's Task Force on the Global Goals. The toolkit has been prepared by one of the country's most experienced consultants in the field of the Global Goals and sustainability, Fanneyja Karlsdóttir, who is also the former chair of Festa.
The toolkit will be available on the Festa Guide and in the section of our website dedicated to the Global Goals.
