Crucible meeting on Science Based Targets (SBTi) Festa held an electronic crucible meeting on September 25th on Science Based Targets (SBTi). It was reported that around ten Icelandic companies have formally approved targets from SBTi or are in the application process. The meeting attracted great interest and was well attended, reflecting the growing interest in science-based climate targets. Expert Adam Roy Gordon, who was on the founding board of SBTi, shared his experience at the meeting. Representatives of three Icelandic companies (Advania, Embla Medical and Deloitte) also shared their experience of the SBTi process, and Landsvirkjun introduced its participation in the CDP climate information system. Crucible meetings like these strengthen member companies' skills in formulating and following up on quality climate targets.
