Survey by Deloitte, Festa and the Student Council of the University of Iceland
The first survey of its kind in Iceland
In the fall of 2024, Deloitte Iceland, Festa – Center for Sustainability, and the Student Council of the University of Iceland collaborated on a survey on young people's attitudes towards sustainability. This was the first time such a survey had been conducted in Iceland, and it was based on an international study by Deloitte.
The survey was sent to students at the country's main universities and SÍNE, the Association of Icelandic Students Abroad.
Among other things, participants believe that governments and businesses should do more to address climate change, and most have in one way or another changed their consumption behavior to reduce negative impacts on the environment. It is also stated that purpose in work is very important for well-being and job satisfaction.
