Festa – ÁTVR liaison meeting

ÁTVR – Vínbúðin invites Festa member companies to a networking meeting at Stuðlaháls 2, June 6th at 08:30 – 10:00.

At the meeting, Sigrún Ósk Sigurðardóttir, Deputy CEO, and Sigurpáll Ingibergsson, Quality Manager, will welcome guests and talk about the company's social responsibility. Special attention will be paid to projects carried out with the Nordic Alcohol Monopolies. Climate accounting, life cycle analysis, biodiversity, practical benchmarking of certification labels, social issues and CSRD. Review long-term goals and vision 2030 further ahead. Nordic cooperation is the key to success.

ÁTVR has good cooperation with other Nordic alcohol monopolies. The cooperation is important because their operations are all based on public health considerations. The strategy is to be a leader in the field of sustainable development in alcohol production and reduce environmental impact, both in the supply chain and the companies' operations. Collectively, the Nordic alcohol monopolies are one of the largest buyers of alcoholic beverages in the world. It is important to ensure, as much as possible, that the products sold by the monopolies are produced in a way that protects human rights and has the lowest possible environmental impact.
