Festa – Blue Lagoon Networking Meeting



Blue Lagoon hf. invites Festa member companies to a networking meeting at the company's headquarters in Urriðaholt, October 11th at 08:30-10:00.

At the meeting, Helga Árnadóttir, Director of Sales, Marketing and Product Development, and Fannar Jónsson, Director of Quality and Environment, will welcome guests and share the company's sustainability journey. In particular, there will be discussion about the international B Corp certification that The Blue Lagoon recently received.

In addition to the famous Svartsengi bathing lagoon, the Blue Lagoon has earned a good reputation for operating spas, accommodation and restaurants. The company's skincare line has also received much attention, as it is based on clinical research into the properties of the geothermal ocean.

Since its inception, the Blue Lagoon has aimed to promote increased well-being through the responsible use of natural resources. The company has thus placed emphasis on environmental issues and responsible business practices, with the guiding principle of creating value for nature and the local community.

The international B Corp certification, which the company recently received, confirms its good results in sustainability and social issues. The goal of B Corp certification is to revolutionize business practices by getting companies to evaluate the impact that their operations have — for example, on the environment, individuals and communities — as well as financial profit. The audit process therefore considers these factors in addition to examining governance. The meeting will specifically discuss the certification, the certification process and the Blue Lagoon's journey in this field, now and in the future.
