Tasty networking event at the Icelandic Environment Agency

The Environment Agency invited Festa member associations to the sixth Festa Networking Meeting of the year. The Environment Agency has been a Festa member association since 2020 and this is not the first time that Festa and the Environment Agency have held events together, but in connection with the agency's Climate Day earlier this year, Festa and the Environment Agency held an event with expert Daniel Montalvo where he spoke about what is called decoupling economic growth from environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions and highlighted examples where it has been successful.

At Networking Meetings, we received information about emissions and Iceland's emissions targets, the organization's TikTok adventures, the circular economy, greenwashing, the Swan and Green Steps, and much more.

The Environment Agency is the agency that bridges nature with society, businesses and everything else, so the good attendance at the meeting was not surprising.

“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” Kristinn Hilmarsson, a climate expert, introduced us to Iceland’s emissions and goals and referred to the wizard Gandalf who encouraged Frodo with these words when he was about to lose his temper and wished the ring had not come to him. A fun analogy for the praise challenge!
