Elva Rakel Jonsdottir
Managing Director
Before joining Festa, Elva Rakel worked as the Director of Climate and Circular Economy at the Environment Agency. Among the tasks the department handled was compiling Iceland's Emissions Accounting for greenhouse gases and air pollutants, as well as making forecasts for possible declines in the coming years. The department also managed Iceland's waste statistics, worked on waste prevention, and ran the Green Steps project. Elva was also the Managing Director of the Nordic Ecolabel Swan in Iceland for many years.
Elva has a master's degree in environmental and sustainability studies from Lund University in Sweden and a BA in anthropology from the University of Iceland.
