Rakel Eva Sævarsdóttir is the founder of Trail sustainability consultancy.

Rakel previously worked as Sustainability Director Globally at Aspiration and before that as Head of Sustainability at PLAY Airlines where she was responsible for building and implementing sustainability at the company. Prior to that, Rakel worked at Marel as a sustainability specialist and Deloitte in Iceland where she was the initiator of launching a new service line in the field of sustainability.

Rakel also sits on the board of directors of Alor, an innovative company working to bring sustainable aluminum batteries to market that will play a key role in the energy transition. Rakel has been volunteering in the field of public health for the past 7 years and was one of the founders of Fortuna Invest.

Rakel has a BS in Economics and an M.Sc in Innovation and Business Development from the University of Iceland.

Rakel joined Festa's board of directors at the company's 2022 annual general meeting.
