Vegvísir gefinn út um líffræðilega fjölbreytni

Festa's member associations met at Deiglufundi today, where we had a select group of experts to discuss biodiversity and how it affects Icelandic business life. At the meeting, a new Roadmap was presented that Festa has been working on for the past few months, which relates to the role of business when it comes to safeguarding biodiversity. A large and diverse group of experts from business and academia came to that work.

The purpose of the Roadmap is to compile a brief overview of biodiversity in order to support the Icelandic economy in tackling this important task, but sustainability information provision is developing in such a way that there will be further requirements to inform about the impact on biodiversity.

The keynote speakers at the meeting were Rannveig Anna Guicharnaud, team leader in Deloitte's sustainability team, Jón Ragnar Guðmundsson, sustainability expert at Landsbankinur, Tryggvi Stefánsson, technical director/CTO at Svarma and Snorri Sigurðsson, director of nature conservation at the Iceland Institute of Natural Sciences. The meeting was chaired by Rakel Sævarsdóttir, who sits on Festa's board and has led this work on behalf of the company.
